In 1866, Jack Daniel's distillery became the first registered distillery in the United Sates. It's here in Lynchburg, Tennessee that every drop of Jack Daniel's is still produced and bottled today. During its 141 years, it has won numerous gold metals from around the world. We put its success down to the unique way in which his famous 'Old No. 7' brand is made: the finest corn, rye and barley malt; the pure iron-free water from Lynchburg's Cave Spring; the hard maple charcoal mellowing process; and the charred white oak barrel maturing. It's the extra step of charcoal mellowing the makes Jack Daniel's a smooth sipping Tennessee whiskey not a bourbon. It's dripped through ten feet of sugar maple charcoal, which takes out any impurities and lends a unique, smooth taste.Tasting Notes:Colour: Warm amber.Nose: Sweet, rich, vanilla.Taste: Hints of orange, brown sugar and spice, full-bodied oak and dry apple.
